Typewritten letter signed, dated : Hollywood, Ca., 24 February 1944, to [Nikolay] Malko, 1944, 24 February.

Expressing pleasure that Malko heard Antheil's [Fourth] Symphony, recalling concerts in Prague when Malko conducted Antheil's Capriccio, saying that his new symphony is almost completed and that it "is a better finer work, and eliminates some of the defects of the fourth," suggesting two cuts in the Fourth Symphony and asking Malko's opinion, mentioning his son, Peter, aged seven, whose favorite composer is Tchaikovsky but who "can sing most of the Sacre du Printemps--I have no idea where he learned it," saying that "rather than compose trash for the movies" he has been a newspaper editor but has quit the job and is now writing (not as a composer) for the radio, mentioning Boski, [Hans] Heinsheimer, etc.
